Call for Board Members:

The board of directors is the administrative structure that handles the operations of the Northern Illinois Emmaus community.  The board meets monthly at various locations throughout the community.

The Northern Illinois Emmaus board of directors includes twelve at-large members.     Four of the at-large board member seats will be voted on at the February 20th board meeting.  These members will serve three year terms beginning in March of 2010.  Anyone who has attended a Walk to Emmaus or a Chrysalis Flight is eligible to be elected to the Emmaus board, with preference to those with experience serving on weekend teams.    You can submit your own name or nominate an individual for consideration.  Please include a brief statement of why you are nominating that person, or if you are submitting your own name, a brief statement about your interest in serving on the board.

Nominations should be e-mailed to Jack Markwick, Community Lay Director, prior to the February 20th board meeting, or click here for email: Contact Jack Markwick.  For more information, you may also reach Jack at 630-443-6730.

In addition to elected board members, the Emmaus community is also represented by six Area Representatives: Central, North Central, North East, North West, South East and South West.  These positions help insure that all geographic areas of the Northern Illinois community are represented at board meetings.

We currently have three open Area Representative seats:  South East, Central and North Central.  We are looking to fill those open seats and are asking for volunteers and/or suggestions of individuals who may be interested.  Again, please submit names to Jack Markwick.
